REVIEW PLATES // ADELAIDE NFC + QR · SET UP FOR YOU · DISPATCHED IN 24 HOURS

GOOGLE REVIEW plates for ADELAIDE.

A review plate sits on your counter, your customer taps their phone on it, and your Google review page opens ready to write. No app, no typing out a link, no hunting for a QR code on the back of a receipt.

A customer holds a phone just above a flat Google review plate on a timber cafe counter, tapping to leave a review, barista blurred behind
01 // WHAT IT IS

One tap. your review page.

Asking for a Google review out loud is awkward, and writing the link on a card does not work. A plate removes the step that loses people: the customer does not have to find anything, type anything or install anything. They touch their phone to the plate and the form is open.

02 // WHY PLATES WORK

The research, with its name on it.

We have no performance numbers of our own for this product and are not going to invent any. What follows is published third-party research, each figure credited to its publisher and year and linked to the source so you can check it. BrightLocal’s survey sampled 1,002 US adult consumers — it is American data about review behaviour generally, not an Australian study and not a measurement of this product.

Google’s local ranking signals, as measured in 2026

Whitespark’s Local Search Ranking Factors 2026 (author Darren Shaw, published 6 November 2025, 187 factors measured) ranks review signals near the top of the Local Pack list. Whitespark publishes positions and absolute scores, not percentage weights, so both are reproduced here as published. Darren Shaw’s own summary of the edition: “the biggest changes we’re seeing are an increased importance of review signals and behavioural signals.”

#6
High Numerical Google Ratings (e.g. 4-5)
score 181 — Whitespark, Local Search Ranking Factors 2026
#9
Quantity of Native Google Reviews (w/text)
score 170 — Whitespark, Local Search Ranking Factors 2026
#11
Recency of Reviews
score 164 — Whitespark, Local Search Ranking Factors 2026
#14
Sustained Influx of Reviews Over Time (rather than bursts)
score 154 — Whitespark, Local Search Ranking Factors 2026
#43
Quantity of Reviews with Photos
score 111 — Whitespark, Local Search Ranking Factors 2026

Why that favours a plate over a one-off push

Position #14 is the one that matters here: Whitespark 2026 lists “Sustained Influx of Reviews Over Time (rather than bursts)” as a ranking factor in its own right, and #11 lists recency. A plate that stays on the counter produces a trickle every week. A one-off email blast to your customer list produces a burst and then nothing.

03 // HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, and two of them are ours.

  1. We encode it

You send us your Google Business Profile. We write your review link to the plate’s NFC chip and print the same link as a QR code on the face.

  2. You put it on the counter

No app, no account, no wiring, no battery. It sits next to the till, the coffee machine or the card reader and stays there.

  3. The customer taps and writes

They hold their phone near the plate and your Google review form opens straight away. Older handsets, or anyone with NFC switched off, use the QR code instead.

04 // CATEGORY EVIDENCE

These are not our customers.

Read this before you read the quotes. We have just started selling review plates and we have no reviews of our own, so there are none on this page. The four reviews below belong to other companies’ tap-to-review plates. They are public Trustpilot reviews, quoted word for word, with the reviewer name as Trustpilot displays it, the vendor named and a link to the source. They are here as evidence that the product category does what it says — nothing more. None of these people have bought anything from FinestSEM.

Review of RevuLink — not FinestSEM 5 out of 5 stars
“Really useful product and system. Our business has struggled for years to get people to leave reviews and this makes it’s really easy for customers and for our staff to be able to ask. As a result our overall score suffered as we just seemed to wait for the occasional unhappy customer to leave a review and we could never figure out a way to successfully ask for reviews, from all the satisfied customers I know we have. Since using this product we’ve gained lots of positive reviews and the staff are now confident is asking for reviews.”

Review of Smartap — not FinestSEM 5 out of 5 stars
“I bought Smartap to use at conferences so people could quickly check out and review my business, Dream Nexus — and honestly, it’s amazing. The product works flawlessly, it’s super efficient, and it makes sharing my business info incredibly easy. I’ve already ordered multiple times because I always need more to share in different places, and the experience has been consistently great. Highly recommended if you want a simple, effective way to connect with people instantly.”

05 // WHAT GOES WRONG ELSEWHERE

The customs bill nobody warns you about.

The honest risk in this category is not that the plate fails to work. It is how it reaches you. Of the 22 reviews on Smartap’s Trustpilot profile, one is a 1-star account of a drop-shipped order, and it names the problem better than we could:

1 out of 5 stars
“Order took weeks to arrive, then I was landed with a massive customs bill when it reached the border from China - turns out it’s a Chinese factory called "Suzhou Beautiful Electronic" sending the order. The bill was more than the order value! Smartap refused to refund and I’m still waiting for the goods to even reach me.”

How ours gets to you

Shipped from our Adelaide stock. No customs bill, no import wait — we have already paid the duty. Dispatched within 24 hours.

And the part most sellers leave vague: the plates are imported, not made in Australia. We buy them in, hold them here, and absorb the duty and the wait so you do not meet either. What is Adelaide is the stock on the shelf, the setup, and the local number you ring if it ever stops working.

06 // PRICE

What a plate costs.

Prices are in Australian dollars. The price covers the plate, encoding it to your Google profile, the tap test and dispatch from our Adelaide stock.

What the price includes either way

01
The plate
A counter-top plate with an NFC chip inside and a printed QR code on the face, so it works whether the customer taps or scans.
02
Linked to your Google profile
We write your own Google review link to the chip and encode the same link in the QR code. You do not configure anything.
03
Tap-tested before it ships
Every plate is tapped on both an iPhone and an Android handset and checked that it opens your review form, not a search page.
04
Dispatched from Adelaide stock
Held locally and dispatched within 24 hours. No import wait and no customs bill at your end — the duty is already paid.
05
A human in Adelaide if it stops working
If the link ever breaks or your Google profile moves, you phone us on a local number and we re-encode it.
06
A written playbook for replying to reviews
A written guide to replying to reviews, with copy-and-adapt templates for every star rating and the rules on what you may and may not do when asking for reviews.
07 // QUESTIONS

Questions about review plates

01 What is a Google review plate?

It is a small plate for your counter with an NFC chip inside and a printed QR code on the face. Both carry your own Google review link. A customer holds their phone near it, or scans the code, and your review form opens ready to write.

02 Does the customer need an app?

No. NFC reading is built into current iPhones and Android phones, so a tap opens the link in the phone’s own browser. Nothing is installed and nothing is signed up for. If a handset is too old to read the chip, or has NFC switched off, the printed QR code does the same job.

03 Who links it to my Google profile?

We do. You send us your Google Business Profile, we write your review link to the chip, print the matching QR code, and tap-test the finished plate on an iPhone and an Android handset to confirm it opens your review form rather than a search page. It arrives working.

04 Where does it ship from, and could I get a customs bill?

Shipped from our Adelaide stock. No customs bill, no import wait — we have already paid the duty. Dispatched within 24 hours. To be straight with you about it: the plates themselves are imported, not made here. What is local is the stock, the setup and the person you call if something stops working.

05 How much does a review plate cost?

A single plate is $79, a pack of 3 is $199 and a pack of 5 is $299. Prices are in Australian dollars. That covers the plate, the encoding, the tap test and dispatch from our Adelaide stock.

06 Do you write the reviews, or choose who gets asked?

No to both. The plate sits in the open and anyone who walks up to it can tap it, including someone who had a bad day with you. We do not write reviews, we do not buy them, and we do not build anything that screens customers by how happy they look first.

Put one on the counter.

Send us your Google Business Profile and how many plates you want. We'll encode them, tap-test them and quote you in writing before anything ships.
